Spring
When I was younger, summer was my favourite season. No doubt the long school holidays had as much to do with that as the weather. These days spring is my favourite season. The weather is temperate rather than hot, although it is also very changeable, especially here in New Zealand. I also like autumn for the same weather reasons, but spring has a brightness and vitality about it that the other seasons don’t quite match.
I love living in a temperate climate, but one where we can also mark the changing seasons.
In literature most seasonal mentions relate to northern hemisphere timings, so if you’re more attuned to spring coming in March and April here are some October spring photos from the garden.
